Waydroid Install Guide

It is assumed that Waydroid is already installed, as well as an ARM compatibility layer if needed. If you are struggling with any part of this guide, do feel free to e-mail me at niellis@caramail.com, but note that I may not actually be able to help much with Waydroid!

1. Download the apk for Rays here.
2. Ensure Waydroid is properly installed and currently running
3. Navigate a terminal window to the folder you saved the apk to and run waydroid app install [APK filename] to install the app.
4. Open the app in Waydroid, and then fully close the app once you've seen an error.
5. Download the Android complete install here and unzip it.
6. Download this shell script (courtesy of Aida, thank you!) and place it in the folder you unzipped, next to the files/ directory.
   • If you have a backup of your official offlinedata folder or otherwise wish to use a specific savefile other than the included complete file, you can replace the included offlinedata folder with your own here. If you do not or don’t want to, just continue to the next full step.
7. Mark the script executable and run it using sudo. While the script shouldn’t take too long, be patient and give it time to complete; it is copying a very large amount of files.
8. You're done!

Note that on Steamdeck, you may need to periodically reinstall Waydroid. Your game will still be there when you reinstall it, so don't worry!
